B R O O D S
Broods are a brother and sister duo from New Zealand who got signed with Capitol and Polydor Records this year. They released there first song, Bridges, online in the October of 2013, and it got 200 000 streams in the firt week after being picked up by big music blogs. MTV described the track as "a bittersweet synth-pop echo chamber".
There album dropped this October, and above are two of the covers for it. They are a great representation of their music, there is a blend between the minimalised synthed up futuristic sounds and the raw independent essence portrayed by the wolves. It shows the albums strong, and I think greatly appeals to an alternative demographic.
This is the music video for there first song, Bridges. I think in many ways it is similar to there album idea. It is quite slow, very modern and minimalistic despite the urban environment. Because they are still a new band, I think it would be hard for them to stray away from there original style.
