Laura Mulvey's Theory
Laura Mulveys theory is based on how women are portrayed as sex figures to draw the audiences attention on a music video. she believed that the female figure is used mainly in the music genres R&B, Hip Hop and Rap as a way to fantasias the male audience by distributing the female figures assets for example models in bikinis would be one of the main use of the female body in a music video to attract the audience and make them desire and like the product. With Mulveys theory i was able to analyse some music videos that portray this theory boldly and clearly.
