Research: Analysing costume, set and location

I looked at 3 different music videos in the top 10 in the UK and analysed there different uses of costume, set and locations. All of the videos were actually very different aesthetically, but they all fitted into the pop genre.

The first video i looked at was 'Bang Bang' by Jessie J, featuring Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. Obviously this song is going to have a massive budget because these three are practically the biggest names in music, which is sup ring as to why it only has 50 million views.
Jessie J had 3 outfit changes because it was her song, whereas the other two only had 2 changes. The outfits where very obvious choices, high fashion that looks nice and still could be replicated by cheaper high street shops.
Each artist has there only location, with one for all of them at the end. There locations are very reflective of their characters, Jessie has a cool trendy kid scene, Ariana has a sleepover thing and Nicki has a launchpad with a helicopter and loads of hotties

The second video, 'Changing' by Sigma ft. Paloma Faith was again generic but in a cool trendy way. She didn't have any outfit canoes, and she stuck with the same one the whole way through. The aspect of my analysis that they really toyed with was the vast amounts of locations, not only that she did base tracks in but that where also used as cut aways. She used kind of run down areas, yet they were all colourful and it provokes a weird ideal in your mind of these run down areas and her chevrolet.
The third one that i listened to was 'Shake it Off' by T Swizzle. She used 5 different costume changes. Swift is a bit different to the other people i looked at because her target audience is significantly younger, like 7-13. Her outfits are fun and poppy, which follows the light hearted theme of the video
