Comparisons between origial music video and ours

I think that our music video is very different to Alt - Js video. Although both of our videos use the concept of drowning, the storyline, aesthetics and style are completely different. We chose to keep the drowning in because it's apparent in the lyrics.

The music video for Breezeblocks is awesome, and you only see the full of it after you've finished watching. Ours is a lot more simple, the narrative doesn't go into what the argument was about, whereas  theres is completely centred around it, and you learn more and more and your opinions change on the characters as it goes on.

They have a very specific colour scheme, the footage is all very dark and I think that there is a blue filter that has been put on top of it. Ours is very green, mostly because of location, and it is mostly filmed either in the day when it is bright or in the morning when the light is all diffused.

Our video follows the narrative of the murderer as he deals with the murder, and also following the singer. Alt J's video doesn't have the singer in it at all, and only shows the tiniest section of the coping with the act.

We decided to taper our outfits to the demographic of the music, so we went with relatively alternative clothes. The outfits in their video are very standard unidentifiable people, who probably wouldnt be die hard fans.
